Thursday night, Officers responded to the 1100 block of South Massachusetts Avenue in reference to an animal attack. The complainant stated he was bitten by an unknown dog. During the course of the investigation, Officers determined a domestic assault had occurred. The victim had left the residence. The dog was taken to the animal shelter and quarantined. All parties were properly identified and state charges are being requested for Domestic Assault.
Early Thursday morning, Officers were dispatched to the area of West Broadway Boulevard and South Limit Avenue to assist with a traffic stop. The vehicle had been stopped for driving at 62 MPH in a 35 MPH zone. The driver could not provide proof of insurance. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. Kyle Davis, 39, of Kansas City, was arrested and transported to the Sedalia Police Department. Davis refused to provide a breath sample. A search warrant was obtained, and Davis was transported to the Bothwell Regional Health Center for a blood draw. Once the blood draw was completed, Davis was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked. A request for the charges of Driving While Intoxicated, Speeding, and No Proof of Insurance have been submitted to the prosecutor.
Sedalia Police responded to the 500 block of East 10th Street Thursday evening in reference to a missing person. The subjects returned to the residence during the course of the call. Both subject’s information was run through Dispatch. It was confirmed the male had an active warrant out of Pettis County for Failure to Appear on original charges of Fishing Without A Permit. Daniel L. Uptegrove, 23, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked on his warrant, pending a $250 cash only bond.
