Gala Games and Upland Take First Steps Towards a Mutual Mission of Interoperability and an Open Metaverse with Cross-Platform Experiences and Portability of Assets
PALO ALTO, CA / ACCESSWIRE / October 12, 2022 / Gala, a leader in Web3 entertainment and gaming, announces a partnership with Uplandme, Inc. today. VOX, under the Gala Games umbrella, will be Upland’s first Ethereum partner in the platform’s Ethereum interoperability portal that will continue Upland’s mission of building an open economy.
Upland is the largest property-trading, city-building metaverse platform that empowers players to become metaverse entrepreneurs. Through the partnership with VOX, collectible ERC-721 NFTs will integrate into the Upland ecosystem and open economy using Upland’s NFT portal.
The Gala-Upland collaboration is setting the foundations for the partners’ shared vision of an open metaverse that allows for interoperability of assets. True ownership in the digital age is a fundamental tenet of Web3. Allowing users to transport their assets across-platforms strengthens true ownership, as well as the VOX and Upland ecosystems.
Upland will have a headquarters in the VOXverse, a forthcoming metaverse created in partnership between Gala Games and founder of SIMS Will Wright. Additionally, VOX will have a presence in Upland with a metaverse building, stores, and developer shops leading to experiences and games. “Uplanders” welcome the VOX Community with several fun engagements, including: competitive city openings, treasure hunts, car racing (Alpha), as well as collaborative activities such as the joint construction of sports stadiums with exciting Upland partners like FC Porto or the NFLPA, and by creating nodes and neighborhoods where like-minded people work towards common goals.
